Nationwide Launch of IEC Campaign to Combat Malnutrition
President
Pranab Mukherjee on 19 November 2012 launched a nationwide Information,
Education and Communication (IEC) campaign against malnutrition in
India- an initiative of the Ministry of Women and Child Development.
Speaking at the launch, Mr. Mukherjee addressed the malnutrition figures
as a wake-up call that needs to be resolved in an intensive manner so
as to ensure good nutrition and health for children and their mothers.
